King Township Updates
As a citizen advocacy group based in King Township, CCKT often focuses attention on our local King Township Council, the many issues being considered, positions taken and decisions being made. At the municipal level, decisions regarding planning applications, recreation, taxes, etc. often have a significant impact on the lives of residents and business owners.
Over many years CCKT has monitored King Township Council Meetings and activities. Notes are often recorded in writing and circulated among board members. Matters of significant interest are often posted on the CCKT website, included in newsletters and sometimes highlighted in general meetings.
Council meetings are usually scheduled on a bi-weekly basis, and during this time of the coronavirus, all meetings are conducted on-line. The public are welcome to view the meetings and to submit comments and questions on specific items covered in the agenda. Go to www.king.ca to view the Township calendar showing the meetings scheduled, for links to virtual meetings and for access to meeting agendas.
CCKT is planning to continue the practice of monitoring Council meetings and to provide updates on the various issues of interest which come up in Council meetings and inthe meetings of Committee of the Whole (includes all members of Council). Check here for King Township Updates.
