KRA’s 2nd Art and “good things” Auction 2021 goes on-line

Mar 31, 2021

The extraordinary times continue requiring the Kingscross Ratepayers Association (KRA) to adapt plans for a “live” community event like their phenomenally successful Art Auction at Pine Farms at the end of February 2020 which raised over $11,000.

Whilst KRA has paid much of the expert legal and technical fees spent for the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal (LPAT) concerning the proposed development Mansions of King (MOK) and Bushland Heights there are still costs which remain to be paid.

Today KRA Asks for your help & invite your participation in our on-line Art Auction which starts on April 5 & ends with a live online auction on April 11

Beautiful pieces of art from collections around Kingscross, antique furniture, carefully crafted pottery & woodwork, sporting memorabilia, accent pieces for your home are but just a few of the items up for grabs in the forthcoming on-line auction.

Bidding opens on April 5 at

Please join in and bid often.

Pictures of some items to stimulate interest are below: beautifully made wooden platters for serving cheese & anti-pasta, a Helen Lucas numbered print, antique botanical prints.

Auction items include a wine fridge, a pair of Queen Anne dining chairs, a golf bag & separately, a threesome golf game (accompanied by a member) kindly donated by the Summit Golf Club worth over $750, long Ash wood planks which would make some fine furniture.

The funds raised will help to pay for experts who worked on behalf of the neighbourhood in the planning appeal hearings concerning Mansions of King & Bushland Heights & to build financial strength for the future.

If you have any items which you would like to donate to the auction please contact John Hollick 905-833-2566 or send an email to

Thanks in advance of your participation in the on-line auction.
