KING CITY – Concerned Citizens of King Township (CCKT) announces that it has been informed by the campaign office of Mr. Konstantin Toubis, Conservative candidate for the King-Vaughan Federal Riding, that Mr. Toubis has withdrawn his agreement to participate in the All Candidates Meeting scheduled for October 6th, 2015 at Villanova College, King City.
Statement from Greg Locke, Chair – CCKT:
“Speaking on behalf of the CCKT Board, we are optimistic that Mr. Toubis will reconsider his decision to withdraw from this very informative event for our communities.
King-Vaughan voters are determining whom the best candidate and party is to represent their values and beliefs in Parliament. As the only All Candidates Meeting to be held in the Riding we are aware of, it would be unfortunate not to have the full suite of candidates represented.
Should Mr. Toubis change his mind, we have a seat for him at the table. He is in possession of the three CCKT questions and the one Villanova student body question our third party Moderator, King City Councillor Cleve Mortelliti, will ask of the candidates prior to the floor being opened to questions from the audience.
We are looking forward to an excellent event and a packed house on October 6th! We advise attendees to get there early for a good seat.”
The All Candidates Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, October 6th, 7:00 pm at Villanova College, 2480 15th Sideroad, King City.
